Generally, the AGV upper control system is responsible for task (loading operation, charging, etc.) generation, vehicle scheduling, traffic management, communication management, and visual monitoring. The AGV stand-alone control system completes the navigation/guidance calculation of the AGV single unit according to the tasks issued by the upper system. , vehicle drive and automatic loading and unloading work (usually manual loading and unloading in the car assembly line).

In the assembly line of the vehicle, the mission of AGV is executed sequentially. There is no optimization process for AGV's vehicle scheduling and traffic management. Therefore, the number of AGV single machines depends entirely on the manufacturer's production capacity and the speed of the AGV itself, regardless of the system optimization scheduling. .

Today, more and more car manufacturers are applying AGV technology to their assembly lines and logistics operations. To this end, there has been a tape-guided AGV system suitable for automobile assembly lines and engine assembly lines in China, which is used for automobile assembly and engine and gearbox assembly, thus replacing the traditional ground chain or conveyor mode.
